Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens Episode 6 Review: The Battle for the Last Bowl of Ramen!

At the start of another day at Goha Elementary, Rook comes up to Yuga and shows him that he got his own column in the newspaper, but something else in the paper has caught Yuga’s attention. Yuga is shocked to find out that Tahayasty Restaurant is closing down (Tah-Ay-STY?). So Yuga, Romin, and Gakuto go to find out why.

When they get to the restaurant, they learn that an A.I. restaurant recently opened in the urban district and took all the customers away. (In case you didn’t get this message from Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains, here’s a reminder.) Pops, the owner of the restaurant, says he will close the restaurant after he makes one last bowl of ramen.

Yuga starts to come up with ideas for how to bring more customers to Tahayasty Restaurant. His ideas include: Restaurant-Go-Round where the customers spin instead of the food, and One Person Turns into Five where each customer walks in with four dummies all connected with rods. These ideas quickly get rejected by Romin and Gakuto.

Then in walks a boy named Ohmori Menzaburo. He recognizes Yuga from the Goha 7th Elementary Newspaper. Menzaburo is from Goha 3rd Elementary. Menzaburo asks Yuga how he installed new rules because he also wants to install new rules that will fuse both Ramen and Dueling. Then Menzaburo orders a bowl of ramen…the last bowl of ramen! Yuga offers to tell Menzaburo how to install new rules in exchange for the last bowl of ramen. Menzaburo counter-offers by challenging Yuga to a duel. If Menzaburo wins, Yuga will show him how to install new rules, and if Yuga wins, he gets the last bowl of ramen, but they have to finish before the last bowl of ramen is done. It’s a good thing that Rush Duels are designed to be quick, even quick enough to finish before a bowl of ramen is made.

The duel begins.

Menzaburo summons two monsters and tributes them in order to summon Masked Noodle Jonin Gackboot. Then Menzaburo sets two cards face-down and ends his turn.

Yuga summons two monsters and tributes them in order to summon Sevens Road Magician. Yuga activates the effect of Sevens Road Magician, but Menzaburo activates a trap called Art of Masked Noodle Cooking Pot which cooks Yuga’s monster in a pot of ramen and makes it lose 1000 ATK and gives himself 500 LP. Yuga sets two cards face down and ends his turn.

Mezaburo summons Masked Noodle Ninja Chidji and Masked Noodle Ninfa Barikata. Then he sends the top card of his deck to the graveyard in order to activated the effect of his Masked Noodle Jonin Gackboot which increases the ATK of all Pyro-Type monsters based on the number of Normal monsters in his graveyard. Then Menzaburo activates a spell card that increases the ATK of all his monsters by 100 for every Normal monster in both graveyards until the end of his turn. Then he activates another spell card that causes Sevens Road Magician to lose 400 ATK for every Fire Attribute monster on his field. Menzaburo attacks with all his monsters. Yuga activates a trap that prevents Sevens Road Magician from being destroyed by battle, but the attack still goes through leaving Yuga with 900 life points. Then Menzaburo ends his turn.

Yuga activated the effect of his Sevens Road Magician, but Menzaburo again activates Art of Masked Noodle Cooking Pot which forces Sevens Road Magician to lose 1000 ATK and gives himself 500 LP. Yuga activates a spell card that deals Menzaburo 400 points of damage for every Fire Attribute monster on his field. Yuga activates another spell that allows him to switch Masked Noodle Jonin Gackboot to Defense Mode. Then Yuga activates a spell that returns 2 level 6 or higher Spellcasters back to the deck in order to increase Sevens Road’s ATK to 3800. Yuga activates Piercing and applies it to Sevens Road Magician. Yuga attacks Masked Noodle Jonin Gackboot with Sevens Road Magican, and with only 0 Defense points, Yuga is able to finish off the rest of Menzaburo’s life points.

Afterwards, Yuga says it was a really fun duel and even offers to share the last bowl of ramen with Menzaburo, but while they were distracted, Rook finishes the last bowl.

After watching the duel, Pops decides to make ramen that’s faster, tastier, and even more fun than before, so he decides to make Rush Ramen. Rush Ramen along with the word of mouth help to rebuild the popularity of Tahayasty Restaurant. Yuga now has two methods of promoting Rush Duels without the interference of Goha Corp.

Later, Yuga leads Menzaburo to the place where he installed Rush Duels, but to everyone’s surprise, the relic is gone.
